Bridal Shower Games (Free Printables): 10 Fun and Unique Ideas For Couples

Planning a wedding shower can be a tricky task. Of course you want to make it a day to remember for the bride-to-be, because after all, it’s a day to celebrate her! And wedding showers are supposed to be fun - a way for the bride to celebrate her upcoming nuptials with her closest girlfriends and family. What better way to have some fun, then with some unique and interactive games for couples?

Here are the top 10 best interactive wedding shower game ideas you can use to add fun and lasting memories to your next bridal shower:

1. What’s in your purse?  (FREE PRINTABLES)

Before the day of the shower, create a list of items that you would generally find in someone’s purse. Remember to add common items (like keys, credit cards, lip gloss etc.) and more obscure items (like a movie ticket, floss, a hairbrush etc.). When it’s time to play the game, call out the items from the list and have the guests try to find that item as fast as they can in their purse. The first person to pull that item out of their purse earns a point. The person with the most points at the end wins. This is a great game played either individually or in teams.

  • hairbrush
  • floss
  • movie ticket
  • band aid
  • lighter
  • $100 bill
  • shower invitation
  • protein bar
  • vitamin
  • bottle opener

2. Who said that?

This is a game to see how well the guests know the bride and groom. Before the shower, have the bride and groom tell you their love story (separately of course)! Write their answers down in point form, mixing up the bride and groom’s answers. Print out copies of their answers and have each guest try to guess who said what. Make sure you’re choosing statements that either of them could have said (i.e. the first thing I noticed about him/her was).

3. Which one is a lie?

This is a great game to use as an icebreaker to start off the wedding shower. Go around the room and have the guests introduce themselves one at a time, telling three different experiences they’ve had with the bride (one of which is a lie). The person who can correctly pick out the lie earns a point. The guest with the most points at the end wins.

4. What would the Groom say? (FREE PRINTABLES)

Make a list of questions for the groom about himself, the bride and their relationship (i.e. when was your first kiss? What’s the first movie you saw together?). A few days before the bridal shower, ask the groom your questions, recording the answers on paper or for a more interactive approach, videotaping for viewing at the shower. On the day of the shower, ask the bride the same questions and see if she answers correctly.

  • When was your first kiss?
  • What’s your best vacation ever?
  • Are you a saver or a spender?
  • When did your bride say “I love you”?
  • What’s your most annoying habit?
  • Are you a morning person or a night owl?
  • What’s the first movie you saw together?
  • If your bride were to throw out one piece of your clothing, what would it be?
  • If you were an animal, what would you be?
  • If you won the lottery what’s the first thing you would do?

5. Pin the ring on the groom

Start with a poster sized picture of the groom (can be printed at your local copy/print shop) and give each guest a faux wedding ring (a sticker would be ideal but a plastic ring will work just fine)! Taking turns, each guest is blindfolded, spun around and pointed in the direction of the picture. They must try to pin the ring on the groom as close as they can to his finger. The one closest to the finger wins!

6. How old am I?

A few days before the wedding shower, ask the parents of the bride and groom for pictures from their childhood, ranging in age from baby to teenager. Number the pictures and place them around the room. Give each guest a sheet with a numbered list where they can guess what age the bride and groom were in each picture. The guest with the most correct answers wins a small prize.

7. Trip down memory lane

This one tests the memory skills of the bride! At some point during the shower, have each guest write down a personal memory they have with the bride (anonymously of course) on a piece of paper. Once all the guests have completed their memory, have the bride read each one out loud and try to guess whose memory it is. If the bride guesses incorrectly, the guest gets a prize!

8. Guess that movie! (FREE PRINTABLES)

Search the internet for your favorite movie quotes from romantic movies. Make a list of quotes on a piece of paper and hand one out to each of your guests. Have them fill out as many movie titles as they possibly can. The guest with the highest number of correct answers wins!

  • “Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn” (Gone with the Wind, 1939)
  • “Here’s looking at you, kid” (Casablanca, 1942)
  • “You’re gonna need a bigger boat” (Jaws, 1975)
  • “You talkin’ to me?” (Taxi Driver, 1976)
  • “There’s no place like home” (The Wizard of Oz, 1939)
  • “I’ll have what she’s having” (When Harry Met Sally, 1989)
  • “Houston, we have a problem” (Apollo 13, 1995)
  • “Leave the gun, take the cannoli” (The Godfather, 1972)
  • “Show me the money!” (Jerry Maguire, 1996)
  • “Say hello to my little friend” (Scarface, 1983)

9. Musical bouquet

A wedding shower version of musical chairs! Play some music while the guests pass around a real or fake, (either will do) bouquet. Stop the music at certain points – the guest still holding the bouquet when the music stops is out. Keep going until only one person remains!

10. Words of wisdom for wedded bliss (FREE PRINTABLES)

As the guests enter, have them each write some words of wisdom on a piece of paper or in a keepsake book. Include questions like:

  • Don’t stress over
  • Remember
  • Always
  • A successful marriage requires

  • Learn to
